Managing Groups Effectively

A half-day workshop for staff who are regularly working with groups


OBJECTIVE
The objective of this course is to help you have a better understanding of how to engage and facilitate groups to help them reach their potential.

AIMS
At the end of the course you will be able to:

• Encourage a receptive state to learn
• Recognise learning styles and choose appropriate methods of delivery
• Supervise vulnerable groups

CONTENT
Managing Groups Effectively consists of five sessions. The sessions are as follows:

Session 1 The Importance of Choosing the Right Content
Session 2 Getting Learners Ready to Learn
Session 3 How to Work with Mixed Ability Groups
Session 4 Dealing with Challenging Behaviour
Session 5 Developing Positive Relationships

WHO THE COURSE IS AIMED AT
Managing Groups Effectively has been designed for trainers/facilitators and staff who regularly work with clients in a group basis. This includes the care industry, mental health, employability and trainers working with young learners.

£300 per group (maximum group size of 8)

All courses are priced for delivery within a 50 mile radius of Glasgow. Courses can be delivered anywhere in the UK but will incur an additional travel cost which will be kept to a minimum. Please contact us for details.
