How to run effective meetings

Staff meetings happen all the time but just how effective are they? Without the correct structure and some kind of purpose they're little more than a time-consuming nuisance.

Our "How to Run Effective Meetings" training workshops deal with all the problems faced when organising and running meetings and help you to make them dynamic time-effective and results-driven.

The course consists of the following five units:

1. Meeting preparation
2. Setting up the meeting room
3. Running a meeting
4. The role of the minute taker
5. Post meeting

The interactive workshop asks questions like "Why have meetings in the first place?" and looks closely at the participation needed by everyone involved. There is an extensive section on the role and responsibilities of the minute taker as this is a crucial part of any meeting's success.

If you'd like to make your staff meetings more effective and productive then call us to discuss how we can help.

Dealing with Difficult and Challenging Behaviour

Gary Bedingfield Training - Dealing with Challenging Behaviour
Dealing with difficult or challenging behaviour can be a major part of our daily work routine, whether it be is a customer service position, public service or care setting. Understanding where this behaviour comes from is often the key to better behaviour management, and our "Dealing with Challenging Behaviour" addresses that by looking at the behaviour cycle.

By developing strategies for each stage of the cycle, we can better manage challenging behaviour, making for a better working environment for all involved.

Our half-day consists of the following:

  • What is Challenging Behaviour?
  • The Behavioural Response Cycle
  • Categorising Types of Challenging Behaviour
  • The Impact of Challenging Behaviour
  • Potential Causes of Challenging Behaviour
  • Recognising Early Warning Signs
  • Responding to Challenging Behaviour
  • The Recovery Stage

Delivered at your premises and available all across the United Kingdom, "Dealing with Challenging Behaviour" is an essential part of staff development for all customer-facing staff and is available at a very affordable price. Take a look at our website for more information:

Train the Trainer Courses

When it comes to training the trainers we're the UK experts, leading the way with Train the Trainer courses that are delivered from Cornwall to the Outer Hebrides. Designed for trainers who are new to their position as well as those with experience, our courses are in constant demand because they deal with the day-to-day issues that trainers face. So, in addition to getting to grips with learning styles, writing training plans and using training aids, you'll learn why some people don't want to attend training and how best to get them in the right frame of mind. In addition to learning about assessment, aims and objectives and questioning techniques, you'll learn how to handle group dynamics and how to deal with difficult and challenging behaviour.

If this sounds like the type of Train the Trainer course you've been looking for, then join the many organisations that have already come on board with Gary Bedingfield Training (including NHS Scotland, Ministry of Defence, Arnold Clark and Menzies Aviation).

With prices starting at just £600 per group (that's per group, not per person), what have you got to lose?
